Kit de tres reactivos para la detección fluorescente-microscópica de bacterias ácido-alcohol resistentes. Contiene reactivo TB Auramina-Rodamina, doble cantidad de TB Decolorante Fluorescente y reactivo TB Permanganato como contratinción.

La fluorescencia se ha utilizado para detectar bacterias acidorresistentes durante muchos años. Este método es más sensible que el método Kinyoun. Se tarda menos tiempo en interpretar los resultados. En este método se utiliza auramina-rodamina, alcohol ácido (solución alcohólica de HCl al 0,75%) como medio de diferenciación y permanganato potásico como colorante de contraste.
Resultados
Bacterias ácido-alcohol resistentes – rojo-naranja o amarillo-verde (depende de los filtros utilizados en el microscopio)
Fondo – negro
